One way to “go green” is to reduce the number of plastic bottles you throw away. It’s easy with the campus’ new water-bottle refill stations. Installation is under way and is expected to be finished by early November.

In 2011 the UNTHSC campus recycled 233 tons of cardboard, paper, plastic, aluminum and glass, saving nearly 3,000 mature trees and enough electricity to power more than 80 homes for a year.

The UNT Health Science Center was included in a UNT System article highlighting new green buildings on all three UNT campuses.  The featured buildings include our Medical Education and Training Building, the Life Sciences Complex at UNT and the Academic Building 2 at UNT Dallas.
