TCOM students headed for residencies

The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) Class of 2012 recently matched into residency or internship positions. According to the National Resident Matching Program, more than 95 percent of U.S. medical school seniors—the highest rate in 30 years—have matched to residency positions.

Students from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine were among more than 800 DO students and 200 physicians who gathered in Washington, D.C., for the annual DO Day on Capitol Hill on March 8.

Demolition has begun!

The first step in creating a Library courtyard came Monday, March 26, with the start of demolition of the Education Annexes. The building at 901 Montgomery St., the northernmost part of the annexes, was mostly reduced to rubble in short order. Demolition will proceed southward until all the ground structures are removed.

Demolition of annex buildings scheduled to begin Monday

The construction fence is up, and the “circle drive” is temporarily closed.  The contractor, Midwest Wrecking, is scheduled to bring equipment to campus on Monday, March 26, to start demolishing the Education Annexes at 901 and 999 Montgomery St.
