A new courtyard is coming

Preliminary work on the Library courtyard landscaping is scheduled to begin soon.  When it is complete, the project will create an outdoor commons area and provide a view of the Library from Montgomery Street.

T. Eugene Zachary, DO, namesake of the Zachary College within the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, died Feb. 20 at home.   A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at First United Methodist Church, 422 Church St., Grapevine, Texas.

The annual Health Science Center Service Recognition Program honored employees during a ceremony in Luibel Hall on Feb. 10.  Awards were presented for every five years of service based on the total time worked in the UNT System, accumulated through Dec. 31, 2011.

TCU T-shirt sales contribute $8,000 toward lowering infant mortality

The tally is in – more than $8,000 from the sale of the TCU “Join the Purple Revolution” T-shirts will benefit the Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies, Healthy Community (HMHBHC) initiative, coordinated by the Health Science Center’s School of Public Health.
