It’s inevitable. Everyone ages. Aging typically increases the chance of disease. Dong-Ming Su, PhD, associate professor of Molecular Biology and Immunology, is researching ways to prevent or delay the onset of diseases related to immune system aging.

Gov. Perry appoints two TCOM students to higher education posts

Amir Barzin (TCOM ’12) and Christian Dean (TCOM ’12) were appointed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve in higher education posts. They join 11 student appointees who will serve terms from June 1 through May 31, 2012. The governor announced their appointments on April 20.

TCOM students matched for residency

The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) Class of 2011 now has a 100 percent match rate into residency or internship positions. The National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), which coordinates the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) match, placed 111 TCOM students in residency or internship positions.
