On Jan. 26, the UNT Health Science Center honored 163 employees who reached 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service with the UNT System. Employees reaching these milestones were honored with certificates and pins marking their anniversaries.

The UNT Health Science Center and clinics staffed by UNT Health physicians will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The campus and all UNT Health clinics will reopen for normal business hours Tuesday, Jan. 19. Lewis Library will have shortened service hours during the holiday weekend.
Art Eisenberg, PhD, helped create the popular “CSI: The Experience” exhibit, on display at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History until May 2. Eisenberg is chairman of the Department of Forensic and Investigative Genetics and co-director of the UNT Center for Human Identification.
The town of Crockett, Texas, population 7,000, has demonstrated its strong support for the UNT Health Science Center’s Rural Osteopathic Medical Education of Texas (ROME) program by building a home for the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine students who rotate through medical practices in the community.
The City of Fort Worth will use the UNTHSC East Garage for paid public parking again during this year’s Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo from Jan. 15 through Feb. 7.
Last year, 18,000 runners hit the streets of Fort Worth for The Cowtown, one of the nation’s largest multi-event road races. This year’s 32nd annual event is expected to be even bigger, and the UNT Health Science Center will again be a big part of it.
