UNTHSC sponsors Day in the District

The UNT Health Science Center is proud to call Fort Worth home and proud to sponsor our fellow world-class neighbors in this year’s Day in the District.  Join us Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 am to 5 pm for free admission to seven cultural destinations and free performances in and around each.

On August 26, the UNT Health Science Center celebrated its 3rd Annual Employee Appreciation Day. Faculty and staff were treated to lunch on Alumni Plaza, new T-shirts featuring the slogan “Proud to be UNTHSC” and many thanks from the Health Science Center’s Executive Team.

Lewis Library expands facilities and services

To meet the needs of our expanding student body and our growing campus, the Gibson D. Lewis Health Science Library at the UNT Health Science Center is making some big improvements, including adding study space and offering 24-hour access to the main floor.

UNTHSC named Military Friendly School

The UNT Health Science Center has been named a Military Friendly School for 2010 by G.I. Jobs magazine. The designation puts the Health Science Center among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide for recruiting military students.

Gov. Perry appoints three new Regents

Gov. Rick Perry appointed three new members to the UNT System Board of Regents. The governor named G. Brint Ryan of Dallas, Steve Mitchell of Richardson and Michael R. Bradford of Midland, as the newest members to the board. All three will serve until May 22, 2015.

New chair and assistant dean join SPH

The School of Public Health has named José A. Pagán, PhD, chair for the Department of Health Management and Policy, and  SPH Alumna  Elizabeth (Liz) Treviño Dawson, DrPH (’05), assistant dean for Curriculum.
